Your Voice Is Meant To Be Here
About
The Cashavelly Collective (The CC) fosters nurturing spaces and resources to free our unhindered voices and expression; delve into our inner mysteries to explore our strangest ideas; and share in a loving community. Our gatherings help systemically change patriarchal and capitalistic conditioning, shed restrictive roles and limiting beliefs, heal sisterhood and brotherhood wounding, and build a supportive community where we are uplifted and celebrated for being who we uniquely are. We believe that speaking our truth and freeing our heart’s longing will collectively correct the many imbalances humanity now faces. In addition to local offerings, we are currently launching a virtual global sisterhood - join here.
The next Songbird Supper Club is May 27th at 6pm at Mothership Studios 239 W. Acadia St. in Winston-Salem. Supper by Lonzelle’s. This month, we are making “Protest Cakes” and sharing our stories as a community about a time when we chose ourselves over external pressures. Bringing a cake is optional.
About Songbird Supper Club
The CC presents Songbird Supper Club, a monthly gathering to deepen community connections, engage in thoughtful discussion, and feel a sense of friendly support and reciprocity. We are a village, one in which we are developing gift economies, Earth connection, and supporting eachothers’ passions to share our medicine with the world. Songbird began in 2022 as a cozy performance series to celebrate women who create and express. At each event, 3 to 4 featured artists shared their work and were interviewed by Cashavelly. The interviews and discussions were so impactful that they became a highlight and began to naturally transform the event. Songbird has evolved to meet our needs in these shifting times - now each event takes on a new shape, experimenting with how to free more expression and bond deeper as a community. Featured guest spots are now open to all (not only women). Our discussions are rooted in building trust and collectively healing our divisions, conditioning, masking, and outmoded belief systems. Our featured guests and artists share their work, stories, and knowledge of community building, activism, their artistic journey, and earth connection. The audience is encouraged to share their stories and take part in discussions. At Songbird, we shed all the pressures we've taken on so we can be our most vulnerable and curious selves. We've got nothing to prove here. We can be messy. We are here to cheer each other on, encourage one another, and see us all collectively shine. QTBIPOC+ are especially encouraged to participate. All are welcome. Bring your partners, kids, and friends and enjoy supper from our featured food vendor. If you’d like to be considered as a featured guest or artist, please sign up at the link above.

About Soulbirthing
Soulbirthing is a gathering of women to connect and offer resources to help free ourselves from the blocks that prevent us from living in our truth and authentic connection. We believe that all we imagine is meant to be birthed into the world. In Soulbirthing, we explore tools and strategies to follow our inner knowing; we share our stories in a safe group where we are seen and supported; and we experiment with the various parts of ourselves that we gradually integrate to experience a sense of wholeness and fulfillment.
Quarterly Gatherings
In quarterly workshop gatherings in March, June, September, and December, participants are guided through 13 different archetypes, or facets, of a woman’s inner life, informed by an ancient Celtic feminine wheel that some of our ancestors once lived by. This is a springboard to get curious about and deepen our understanding of all we may have had to hide and put away out of survival. We need a safe place where we are supported in differentiating what is truly authentic and joyful to us from what is conditioned expectation. We may have taken on behavioral patterns and limiting beliefs to appease others or meet standards that we can now shed with the help of a loving community. This guided introspection allows for deep healing of the past and a way to give ourselves now what we couldn’t be given then. It is a unique framework to free what is needing to be expressed and created from a place of truth. Since 2022, this gathering has catalyzed women into overcoming fears to create their dream of life, their art work, soul mission, and/or their work sphere. There is also a written guide for purchase that complements these workshops. It includes numerous holistic and expressive resources, self-exploration through the archetypes, and examples of women throughout myth and history who have carved out their unique paths against all odds. Sign up now for the quarterly gatherings upcoming in 2026.
Retreats
In addition, each year our community has the opportunity to meet in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains near Hot Springs, North Carolina. Women gather on 14 acres of land, setting up tents and sitting around the fire - to laugh, share stories, learn resources, and follow the signs of the land. We take time to rest, go inward, get playful, and explore what we are compelled to follow. Everyone is invited to carve wood, try friction fire, weave, or make symbolic power pieces to wear. This time in the woods allows us to feel into our primal selves and our inherent sisterhood, free from any male-dominated spaces. We share meals and create a group-designed ritual.
International Pilgrimage
We also take an international pilgrimage each year to a meaningful place that, through curiosity, we have been led to in our discussions. Our first pilgrimage was to the Caves of Mary Magdalene in Southern France, and our second was to the Black Madonna in Switzerland. We felt we were intuitively drawn to each place to free ourselves from the constrictive, dichotomous Puritan concept of the penitent whore and virgin, and discover who these women really were. Each year, we are open to where our curiosity and adventurous spirit will lead us.
